"We also use third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends of our Services, as well as for other purposes. Such analytics tools collect information via third-party SDKs incorporated into the App, which includes information about features of the App you visit or use, your actions in the App, and information about your subscription. Such information may be used to provide content, advertising, or functionality. Third parties may also use such information for their own purposes."

Third-party SDKs embedded in the app collect user data directly, and the policy explicitly states third parties may use this information for their own purposes — giving users little control over downstream use.

"Solely with respect to information you agree to share, we use it for Simple promotional purposes. IDFA or Android Advertising ID (whichever is applicable to your device), IDFV, Country, IP address, Age group, Gender, Subscription status, App use information, Device details, Mobile network operator information, User clicks in particular ads. We use AppsFlyer to help us identify you as an existing user when you further use the App."

The app collects advertising IDs (IDFA/Android Ad ID), device fingerprinting data, and uses AppsFlyer to link user identity across website and app, enabling cross-service and cross-device tracking.

"Contact Sync lets you find people you may know who might already use Simple. If you enable Contact Sync, you allow the App to access the contacts stored on your device only to check whether any of your contacts use Simple. Provided you give express permission on your device, we may receive (read) and/or write (share) data about your activity from/with Apple Health Kit, Google Fit, and Health Connect."

The app requests access to device contacts (hashed for matching but still accessed), photos/camera, and health platform data, which goes beyond core fasting-tracker functionality.

"All the conversations shared with Avo are stored on our Amazon Web Server (AWS) in the United States until you decide to delete these conversations or until you delete your Simple account, whichever comes earlier. Even after your account is deleted or after processing your personal data erasure request, we may need to retain certain personal data and other information. This is required or permitted by applicable law."

AI chat conversations are retained indefinitely unless the user manually requests deletion via email, and the company reserves the right to keep data even after account deletion for broad legal reasons.

"We will process your request within one month. In some cases, it may take up to 90 days to completely erase your personal data from our backup systems. You can delete chat contents with Avo at any time by sending us an email at support@simple.life."

Full data erasure can take up to 90 days, and deleting AI chat history requires emailing support rather than offering a self-service option in the app.

The company can make certain policy changes without notifying users or obtaining consent, with broad discretion over what qualifies as "compatible" with existing purposes or within "reasonable expectations."
