6"We may share some of the information we collect to help operate and improve the Phantix Services. Depending on how you interact with us, common examples might include sharing: (a) With other Phantix entities or affiliates; (b) With other users to resolve disputes; (c) With service providers that operate on our behalf to help support the Phantix Services in accordance with our instructions (for example, cloud storage providers, payment processors, or marketing and advertising partners)."
Data is shared broadly with affiliates, service providers, marketing partners, and advertising partners, with vague descriptions of what data is shared and limited user control over this sharing.
"If you choose to link your Phantix account with your account on a third-party platform like Google, Facebook, Apple, or other similar website or service, or if you interact with an ad for one of the Phantix Services on an external website or service, the company that operates that website or service may share some information with Phantix in accordance with their own privacy practices."
Phantix links user activity across platforms by collecting data from third-party accounts (Google, Facebook, Apple) and tracking ad interactions on external websites, building a cross-platform profile.
"The general location of your device, which we typically derive from your device's IP address. We do not collect real-time information about the location of your device."
Phantix collects geolocation data derived from IP addresses automatically. While they clarify they don't collect real-time GPS location, IP-based geolocation is still collected passively.
"We may also access metadata and other information associated with other files stored on your device like photographs, artwork, or images that you use for avatars. Technical information about your computer, device, hardware, or software you use to access our services, such as IP address, device identifiers, or other transactional or identifier information for your device (such as device make and model, information about device operating systems and browsers, or other device or system-related specifications)."
Phantix accesses metadata from files stored on your device (photos, artwork, images) and collects extensive device information including hardware identifiers, which goes beyond what is needed for core game functionality.
"We'll update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or relevant laws. When we do, we'll change the date noted at the top of the policy. In some cases we may also notify you of the relevant changes by email or within the Phantix Services."
Phantix reserves the right to change the privacy policy at any time, with notification only "in some cases" — meaning changes can take effect without meaningful notice or user consent.
"We generally store personal data for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described in this policy (like complying with our legal obligations, managing internal records, enforcing our terms, and resolving disputes), unless a long retention period is required or permitted by law."
There are no specific deletion timelines. Retention is open-ended and justified by broad purposes like 'managing internal records' and 'resolving disputes,' which could mean indefinite storage.
