Wispr Flow: AI Voice-to-Text

"If you enable the optional Context Awareness feature, we may collect limited, relevant content from the specific app in use (such as the text on the screen) to enhance the accuracy of Wispr Flow's Outputs. This content is processed solely to deliver the Services, and you can opt out of this at any time through your settings."

Wispr can read the text content displayed on your screen in whatever app you're using, which could expose sensitive information from other applications beyond what's needed for voice dictation.

"Services Providers. We may disclose Personal Data with Services Providers who are working on our behalf (e.g. billing and payment service providers, third-party LLM providers, analytics providers, cloud providers, communications providers) solely to perform services for Wispr and at our direction. Additionally, we may share your data with third-party LLMs in order to provide certain features."

User data, including voice inputs and screen content, is shared with third-party LLM providers and various other service providers to deliver the product's features.

"We may use third-party web analytics services on the Services, such as those of Google Analytics. These vendors use the sort of technology described in the 'Information Collection and Use' section above to help us analyze how users use the Services, including by noting the third-party website from which you arrive. We engage in advertising for our own products and services and track ad attributions to measure effectiveness."

Wispr uses Google Analytics and similar third-party tracking technologies that can track users across websites, including noting which third-party sites users arrive from.

"We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We retain your Personal Data for different periods of time depending on what it is, how we use it, and how you configure your settings. We will either delete or anonymize Personal Data once it is no longer needed or after expiration of the applicable retention periods. If we anonymize, aggregate, or de-identify Personal Data, we may use and disclose it for any business purpose."

No specific retention timelines are provided, and anonymized/de-identified data can be kept and used indefinitely for any business purpose, effectively circumventing deletion rights.

"We'll update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we'll update the date at the top of the Privacy Policy. If a modification meaningfully reduces your rights, we will notify you (by, for example, sending you an email or displaying a prominent notice within the Services). The notice may designate a reasonable period after which the new terms will take effect."

Wispr can change the privacy policy unilaterally, and only commits to notifying users when changes 'meaningfully' reduce rights — a subjective determination made by Wispr itself.
