"Usage Information may include hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information including carrier name and phone number, application version number, device identifier, search queries, reading history, bookmarks, transaction history, IP addresses, crash reports, system activity, hardware settings, browser type and setting, the date and time and referral URL of your request and cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your Tapas user account, location information."

Tapas collects an extensive range of device data including phone number, carrier name, hardware settings, system activity, and unique device identifiers — much of which goes beyond what a webtoon/novel reading platform requires.

Location information is listed among automatically collected data, and the policy does not limit this to session-based or functional use, suggesting passive or background location tracking for a reading platform.

"There are a variety of tracking methods that may be included in our Platform and third-party Platform. These are not browser-based like cookies and cannot be controlled by browser settings. Some use device identifiers, or other identifiers such as "Ad IDs" to associate app user activities to a particular app and to track user activities across apps."

Tapas explicitly describes using Ad IDs and device identifiers to track user activities across different apps, enabling cross-service profiling that cannot be controlled via browser settings.

"We may share and provide your personal information with but not limited to our agents, vendors, and consultants ("Support Company") of 'Tapas' as well as companies that provide the Services on behalf ("Service Providers") of 'Tapas'... With affiliated companies, group companies, and/or subsidiaries for following processes on behalf of us: Personalizing content and experience; and/or Offering promotions and events for our products and services or third-party's products and services."

Personal information is shared with a broad and open-ended set of third parties including affiliates, subsidiaries, group companies, agents, and vendors for purposes including personalizing content and promoting third-party products.

"We reserve the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time without notice to you in our sole and absolute discretion, and such new Privacy Policy will immediately take effect upon its posting on the Platform. We do not provide any other notices of such changes to this Privacy Policy."

Tapas can change the privacy policy at any time with zero notice, and explicitly states they will not notify users — continued use constitutes acceptance of unknown changes.

"We may process and store your information in accordance with following conditions: while you are using our Platform (while your account is alive, not closed and deleted); as required under law, regulations, contracts or statutory obligations; and/or only for as long as your information is necessary for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy."

The retention policy is vague with no specific timelines, using open-ended conditions like 'as long as necessary' and 'as required under law' without defining concrete periods for data deletion.

"However, some information you have shared with others on the Platform may, and will likely, remain visible after you close your account such as comments, message board postings, and communications you have with other users of the Platform and certain submissions. Nonetheless, please contact Tapas Entertainment at feedback@tapas.io and Tapas Entertainment, in Tapas Entertainment's sole and reasonable discretion, may assist you in deleting such content."

User content persists after account deletion, and removing it requires emailing support with removal granted only at Tapas's 'sole and reasonable discretion' rather than as a guaranteed right.
