Trucker Path: Truck GPS & Fuel

"The Services will automatically renew on a recurring-fees basis for a renewal period equal in time to the original subscription period unless terminated by either party in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of the then-current term. Cancellations must be made via a live telephone conversation via Trucker Path staff to be considered valid. Free Trial Subscriptions: You must call the hotline 1 day before your free trial ends in order to cancel your subscription. Any charges after the free trial period will be deemed valid and no refunds will be applied."

Subscriptions auto-renew and cancellation requires a live phone call with staff — a classic dark pattern. Free trial users must call exactly one day before expiry or face charges with no refunds.

"The Application requires access to the certain services on mobile devices including, but not limited to, UDID, MAC address, or other applicable device identifier, phone state and identity, audio and microphone access and internet and data services. You agree that Trucker Path may collect and use Location Data, technical data and related information, including but not limited to UDID and other technical information about your device, system and application software, and peripherals."

The app collects device identifiers (UDID, MAC address), phone state and identity, and claims audio/microphone access — well beyond what a trucking navigation app requires for core functionality.

"In order to use certain Location-based Services, you must allow Trucker Path access to your localized position through your device, which Trucker Path may accomplish through a variety of means, including GPS location, GeoIP, or other available mechanisms. Without limiting the foregoing, even if you have not expressly granted Trucker Path access to your Location Data, Trucker Path may nonetheless have access to location information contained in media content metadata, to the extent you have enabled the application originating such media content to capture and store Location Data."

Trucker Path collects location via GPS, GeoIP, and other mechanisms, and may extract location data from media file metadata even if the user hasn't explicitly granted location access.

"Trucker Path reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify this Agreement on a going-forward basis at any time, with or without prior notice, and such changes will be effective as provided herein. Your use of the Platform following the date that any such change becomes effective constitutes your agreement to be bound by the modified Agreement. If you do not agree to the modified Agreement, your sole and exclusive remedy is to terminate your account and cease use the Platform."

Trucker Path can modify the terms at any time, potentially without prior notice, and simply continuing to use the app constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

"Our third party partners operate under their own privacy policies and may access your information. User data is shared with advertising networks AdMob (Google) and Appodeal, which operate under their own privacy policies and may use the data for ad targeting purposes.

"You agree that Trucker Path may collect and use Location Data, technical data and related information, including but not limited to UDID and other technical information about your device, system and application software, and peripherals, that is gathered periodically to facilitate the provision of software updates, product support and other services to you. Users are able easily request their data to be permanatly deleted via in-app channels as well as contacting our support channels at support@truckerpath.com."

The terms describe broad data collection but specify no retention limits or timelines. There is no mention of when data is automatically deleted or what happens to data after account termination.

Collection of persistent device identifiers (UDID, MAC address) along with system/software information enables cross-service tracking and device fingerprinting across sessions and platforms.

There is no self-service cancellation option — users must call and speak to staff during business hours, creating a significant friction barrier to cancellation.
