Shiftsmart - Find Work

"If you are a driver or delivery partner, Shiftsmart collects location information when the App is running in the foreground (App open and on-screen) or background (App open but not on screen) of your device. The App may be used without enabling Shiftsmart to collect location information. However, this may affect the functionality available on the App."

Shiftsmart collects continuous location data including background tracking for drivers/delivery partners via GPS, IP address, and WiFi, which goes beyond what's needed for basic service delivery.

"We may collect information about the devices you use to access the Services, including the hardware models, operating systems and versions, software, file names and versions, preferred languages, unique device identifiers, advertising identifiers, serial numbers, device motion information, and mobile network information."

Shiftsmart collects extensive device data including device motion information, serial numbers, advertising identifiers, and file names, much of which exceeds what's needed for a shift-work platform.

"Shiftsmart may provide information to its affiliates, vendors, consultants, marketing partners, research firms, and other service providers or business partners to help facilitate insurance coverage, conduct surveys on our behalf, and process payments for our services. Shiftsmart may share information with Google in connection with the use of Google Maps in the Shiftsmart Platform and Apps."

Data is shared with a broad range of third parties including marketing partners, research firms, and Google, creating significant data exposure beyond core service delivery.

"Shiftsmart also tracks the activity and function of the Services in the form of log files on web servers. These logs are analyzed by third-party statistical analysis software solutions, such as Google Analytics, to provide visitor activity trend data. The information inside the log files includes IP addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, App features or pages viewed, the number of clicks, App crashes, and other system activity."

Shiftsmart uses advertising identifiers, unique device identifiers, and third-party analytics tools like Google Analytics to track user behavior across sessions and interactions.

"Shiftsmart retains your information while your account remains active, unless you request deletion of your information or account. Shiftsmart may retain information after account deletion: in aggregated and/or anonymized form; if we are required to by applicable law; if there is an unresolved issue relating to your account; or if it is necessary for legitimate business interests."

Shiftsmart can retain data indefinitely after account deletion under the vague justification of 'legitimate business interests,' with no defined deletion timeline.

"We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. For material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either by placing a prominent notice on our website, sending a mobile App notification or by sending an e-mail notification directly to you. Your continued use of the Services constitutes your agreement to this Privacy Policy as updated from time to time."

Shiftsmart can change its privacy policy at any time, and continued use of the service is treated as acceptance of the new terms without requiring explicit consent.

"If you wish to be informed what personal data we hold about you, or if you want it to be removed from our systems, please contact us at privacy@shiftsmart.com. You may submit a request to exercise your information access and deletion rights by emailing privacy@shiftsmart.com. Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests."

Account and data deletion requires emailing support rather than offering a self-service option in the app, creating friction that may discourage users from exercising their deletion rights.
