Aventiv collects an extensive range of sensitive personal data including biometric information (voice patterns, images), device identifiers (MAC addresses), and highly sensitive identifiers like Social Security numbers, well beyond what basic communication services require.

"When using our Stalker Alert Mobile App... Geolocation Data, precise geolocation data... The Internet or other electronic network activity information and geolocation data are collected through the Stalker Alert Mobile App to allow us to: Notify you if the program participant's GPS tracker is within a certain number of miles of your phone."

The Stalker Alert app collects precise, continuous geolocation data from users' phones. While framed as a safety feature, this constitutes persistent location tracking on the user's device.

"We will update this Policy when necessary to reflect changes in our privacy practices or applicable law. We will indicate changes to this Policy by updating the "effective date" at the top of the Policy."

Aventiv can change the privacy policy at any time with no obligation to notify users beyond updating the effective date, and continued use constitutes consent to the new terms.

"To support the Services we offer to you, we may disclose personal information with service providers that help us with our business activities... To manage our business and provide our Services, we may disclose your personal information to our subsidiaries and affiliates... We may disclose your personal information in the event of a merger, acquisition, divestiture, asset sales, or other business transaction."

Personal information is shared broadly with service providers, affiliates, law enforcement, correctional facilities, and potential acquirers in business transactions, with few meaningful limitations on downstream use.

"We maintain the categories of personal information described above for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this CA Notice or otherwise authorized by law... Where personal information is used for more than one purpose, we will retain it until the purpose with the latest period expires."

Aventiv tracks users across devices and online services using cookies and Google Analytics advertising features including interest-based advertising and audience targeting, while also ignoring Do Not Track signals.

"Right to Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain limitations... When submitting your request, you must include your first and last name, email address, and zip code or postal address. You may be asked to provide additional proof of identification so that we can verify your identity."

Deletion rights are limited to California residents, subject to unspecified 'certain limitations,' and require contacting the company directly with identity verification. There is no self-service deletion option, and the broad retention policy and law enforcement sharing likely override deletion requests.
