The app integrates multiple third-party SDKs (Google Analytics, Firebase, AppsFlyer, Amplitude, Facebook SDK) that collect data directly from users' devices, and Propel disclaims responsibility for these third parties' privacy practices.

"We have integrated the Facebook SDK into our mobile application, which allows us to link certain services provided by Facebook with our own mobile application for marketing purposes. Propel does not track its customers over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals."

Despite claiming not to track across third-party websites, Propel integrates the Facebook SDK for marketing purposes and uses AppsFlyer (an attribution platform), enabling cross-service tracking and user profiling across platforms.

"We additionally obtain certain personal information automatically when you visit our Website or otherwise use or Services, such as your IP address, MAC address, Device ID, and mobile application use information such as content views, interactions, and the amount of time spent in the application."

Collecting MAC addresses and persistent device IDs goes beyond what is necessary for a benefits management app and enables persistent device-level tracking.

"Your physical address, zip code and, if you provide us access to it through your device, your GPS location information. If you have granted us permission, we may collect location information from your mobile device. We use this data for the purposes of providing you with certain features, such as a map of nearby SNAP-authorized retailers."

The app collects GPS location data from the device. While described as optional and for finding nearby retailers, the broad data sharing provisions mean this location data could be shared with service providers and partners.

"Propel retains your personal information for as long as it is deemed necessary and relevant by Propel for Propel's operations, unless a longer or different retention period is required or permitted by law."

The retention period is entirely at Propel's discretion with no defined timeline, allowing them to keep sensitive financial and benefits data indefinitely.

"We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page."

Propel can change the privacy policy at any time with no direct notification to users — changes take effect immediately upon posting, and users are expected to check the page themselves.

"To request to close your Propel account and have the personal information tied to your Propel account removed from our system, please visit the Support page of the Propel app. Tap 'The Propel App', and then 'How can I sign out of my Propel account?'. You may also request to have your account closed by emailing help@propel.app. In order to process your request, we may require confirmation of your identity and your ownership of the account."

Account deletion requires navigating a multi-step support flow or emailing support, and Propel may require additional identity verification — there is no straightforward self-service deletion option.
