PLAYSTUDIOS collects a broad range of device information automatically including advertising identifiers, system memory size, battery usage, and crash reports, some of which goes beyond what casual mobile games typically require.

"Location Data, device shared location, and Wi-Fi connection location [are collected from] Players, Players' Devices, Data Services, Service Providers [for purposes including] Internal analytics and reporting, Advertising and marketing, Player acquisition."

The California disclosure table reveals PLAYSTUDIOS collects not just IP-based country data but also device-shared location and WiFi connection location, used for advertising and marketing purposes — going beyond the general description in the main policy text.

"From time to time, we may make changes, so please check back occasionally to stay informed. Any updates will be posted on our website. If we make significant changes that affect how we handle personal data we've already collected, we'll do our best to let you know in advance. We may highlight the update on our Site, notify you through our Applications, or email you directly (when appropriate)."

PLAYSTUDIOS can change the privacy notice at any time with only a best-effort attempt to notify users of significant changes, using hedging language like 'we'll do our best' and 'when appropriate,' with no requirement for affirmative consent.

"We engage third-party service providers to help us operate, support, and improve our services. These providers may access your information only as needed to perform their functions. [Including] mParticle: Consolidates player data across systems for unified analysis and reporting. Firebase/Google Analytics: Tracks player behavior, engagement, and interactions. Singular: Tracks and optimizes marketing campaign performance. Braze: Delivers push notifications, email campaigns, and personalized player messages."

PLAYSTUDIOS shares user data with a very large number of third parties including analytics providers, ad networks, marketing platforms, and data consolidation services like mParticle, many of which involve SDKs that collect data directly from users' devices.

"If you made purchases in our Applications or redeemed Rewards, we may keep your data for the applicable statute of limitations, typically up to 6.5 years in some U.S. states. We may store anonymized and aggregate data indefinitely. We maintain this type of data to compare performance of our Site, our Applications and our Services over past periods, to analyze current performance, to measure player activity over time, and for other business uses."

PLAYSTUDIOS retains personal data for up to 6.5 years after purchases and stores anonymized/aggregate data indefinitely, with broad retention justifications including potential disputes and business analytics.

"Singular ID: A unique identifier created by the Singular SDK to help us understand how users discover and interact with our games. We use this ID to track app installs, in-app events, and user engagement for marketing and attribution purposes. It supports our efforts to measure campaign performance and improve user acquisition strategies. These IDs help us deliver a consistent and personalized experience across devices."

PLAYSTUDIOS uses multiple cross-device tracking mechanisms including Singular IDs, device advertising identifiers, hashed email addresses, and mParticle data consolidation to track users across platforms, devices, and ad campaigns.

"Please know, however, that if you request to be forgotten and subsequently download and play any of our Applications, none of your historical performance data will be available, meaning you will lose any virtual currency, game progress, and Loyalty Points that you had at the time your request is processed. At this time, PLAYSTUDIOS does not offer a way to delete individual elements of personal information while continuing to support an active player account."

Account deletion is all-or-nothing — users cannot delete specific personal information without losing their entire account, game progress, virtual currency, and loyalty points, which creates a strong disincentive against exercising deletion rights.
