For example, we may attempt to match your browsing activity on your mobile device with your browsing activity on your laptop. To do this our technology partners may disclose data, such as your browsing patterns, geo-location and device identifiers, and will match the information of the browser and devices that appear to be used by the same person."

NewsBreak and its partners actively link user activity across multiple devices and websites using browsing patterns, geolocation, and device identifiers to build unified profiles.

"We may allow third-party advertising and marketing partners to deliver relevant and targeted advertising to you on our Services. We may provide your online activities or device related information to our marketing partners to promote our products and services to you. We may also use Software Development Kits (SDKs) to allow our advertising partners to collect your Device and Usage information so that they can decide whether to bid on ad inventory, tailor and serve relevant advertisements to you, and measure the effectiveness of advertising."

NewsBreak shares user data with advertising partners and embeds third-party SDKs that allow advertisers to collect device and usage data directly from users' devices.

"We may collect general location information about your device that you volunteer or enable through the Mobile App or your device. If you provide permission for the app to access precise location, the app will use that information only to determine your general location with greater accuracy so that we can serve you more relevant content for your location. We may also collect general location information via your IP address."

NewsBreak collects location data through multiple methods including precise GPS (if permitted), IP-based geolocation, and device signals, and this location data is also shared with technology partners for cross-device tracking.

"We may collect information about the devices you use to access our Services, such as IP address, device ID, cookie ID, user settings and preferences, operating system, the content you interact with on our Sites, the type of device that you use, operating system type, browser type, app version and other information permitted by Android or iOS based on their policies and your settings."

NewsBreak collects extensive device data including device IDs, user settings, and preferences. The policy also mentions sending invitations to connections in the user's contact list, implying access to contacts.

"We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we'll notify you of these changes as required by applicable law, for example by posting them on the Services or providing email or other notice, and we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of the Privacy Policy to indicate when those changes will become effective. You understand and agree that you will be deemed to have accepted the updated Privacy Policy if you use the Services after the updated Privacy Policy is posted on the Services."

NewsBreak can change its privacy policy at any time and treats continued use of the service as acceptance of the new terms, without requiring explicit consent.

"We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our Services, and for other necessary legal purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, enforcing our agreements, and for fraud prevention and related security purposes. We may retain cached or archived copies of your information."

NewsBreak provides no specific deletion timelines, retains data for broad and vaguely defined purposes, and explicitly notes it may retain cached or archived copies of user information even after deletion requests.

"You can delete your personal data by deleting your account directly through your user settings. If you encounter any issues or need assistance, please contact us at privacy@newsbreak.com. We may delete or de-identify your information sooner if we receive a verifiable deletion request, subject to exemptions under applicable law. We may retain cached or archived copies of your information."

While self-service deletion exists, the policy carves out broad exemptions and explicitly states cached or archived copies may be retained, undermining the effectiveness of deletion requests.
