"When you give the App permission to collect your precise geolocation, the App may use your mobile device's location services to collect real-time information about the location of your device (using GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or other methods, including in-cafe beacons) to provide requested location services and ensure your orders are placed at the correct location. If you grant us permission, we may collect location information when the App is running in the foreground or background."

Panera collects precise GPS location in both foreground and background, uses in-cafe Bluetooth beacons, and shares location data with third-party service providers and advertising partners.

"We disclose your personal information to our marketing and advertising partners, including social media networks, third-party advertising networks, and other parties that assist us in serving, creating custom audiences, measuring the performance of, and optimizing our advertising campaigns. We may also share any of the data collected by these technologies with third parties for our business purposes."

Panera shares personal information broadly with advertising networks, analytics partners like Google Analytics, social media platforms, data brokers, and franchise operators, creating a wide web of third-party data sharing.

"The interest-based advertisements that you see may be served to you based on personal information collected over time, such as through your participation in the Programs, your activity on the Digital Properties, your device's location information (which may include specific longitude and latitude), your activity on unaffiliated third-party services, and/or information from third parties with which we work."

Panera tracks users across their own properties, unaffiliated third-party services, and multiple devices, combining this data with third-party information to build advertising profiles and draw inferences about consumer preferences.

"We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised. If we make changes, we will revise the date at the top of this Privacy Policy and, if required by applicable law, we will provide you with additional notice. Panera can change the privacy policy at any time with only minimal notice like a temporary website banner, and continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

"We will retain your personal information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected as outlined in this Privacy Policy (including to satisfy our legal or reporting requirements), unless a longer retention period is required or allowed under law. We may retain personal information after our relationship with you ends."

Panera provides no specific retention periods, uses vague criteria to justify keeping data indefinitely, and explicitly states they may retain personal information even after the customer relationship ends.

"Device and Browser Information such as your device's IP address and/or other unique identifiers (including your mobile advertising ID), browser type, device type, internet service provider, and operating system. We may use location-based technology in our cafes to collect information about the presence of your device if your Bluetooth is turned on and your device settings permit this."

Panera collects mobile advertising IDs, device identifiers, and uses Bluetooth beacons to detect device presence in cafes, going beyond what's needed for a restaurant ordering app.

Panera requires customers to first cancel their Unlimited Sip Club subscription before they can delete their MyPanera account, adding an extra hurdle to account deletion that could delay or discourage the process.
