Even if you do not consent to collect the precise location from your mobile device, we may use your IP address to infer an approximation of your location when using certain features of the OfferUp Services."

Even if you revoke location consent, OfferUp still uses IP-based geolocation to approximate your location, meaning you cannot fully opt out of location tracking.

"We may allow business partners like Microsoft and Google to serve advertisements on the OfferUp Service, on our behalf across the Internet, and to provide us with analytics services. These entities may use cookies, ad tags, web beacons, and other technologies to collect information about your use of the OfferUp Service and other websites and online services, including your IP address, device identifier, web browser, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked and conversion information."

OfferUp allows third-party ad partners like Microsoft and Google to directly collect user data through cookies and SDKs embedded in the service, covering browsing behavior across multiple websites.

"OfferUp and these partners may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to collect information about your use of the OfferUp Service and other websites and online services. We may also disclose to certain advertising partners a translated version of your email address (called hashed values) that can be used to show relevant ads to you."

OfferUp enables cross-site tracking through cookies, pixels, and SDKs that follow users across websites, and shares hashed email addresses with advertisers to link user identity across platforms.

"We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes, we will provide you with more prominent notice. We encourage you to review the Privacy Policy whenever you access the OfferUp Service to stay informed about our information practices."

For non-material changes, OfferUp's only notice is updating the date on the policy, placing the burden on users to check for changes each time they use the service.

"Please note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. We will also retain certain information such as reviews, forum postings, and similar materials posted by you may continue to be publicly available (but not associated with your personal information) on the OfferUp Service after your OfferUp account is canceled."

OfferUp retains data after account cancellation with vague justifications like "legitimate business purposes," and user-generated content remains publicly visible even after deletion.

"We collect information about the computer or mobile device you use to access the OfferUp Service, including the hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information."

OfferUp collects unique device identifiers and mobile network information, which can be used for fingerprinting and tracking beyond what's needed for a marketplace app.

"You can deactivate your account by following this link. We will make your account inactive until the time you decide you would like to return to using the OfferUp Service. If you are on a mobile device and would like to delete your account, you can request deletion from your Account Settings menu."

The default option is deactivation (not deletion), and actual account deletion appears to require a mobile device. Data is also retained after cancellation.
