"We may also change, update, add, or remove provisions (collectively, "modifications") of these Terms from time to time. Because everyone benefits from clarity, we promise to inform you of any modifications to these Terms by posting them on the Website or on the Mobile Applications and communicating that these Terms have changed. If you object to any modifications, your sole recourse will be to cease all use of the Services. Continued use of any part of the Services following notice of any modifications indicates that you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the modifications."

Murphy USA can unilaterally change terms at any time, and your only option is to stop using the service. Continued use is treated as acceptance of any new terms.

The app collects location information from your mobile device. While they state it requires permission, location data is listed among automatically collected information alongside device IDs and activity tracking.

"We collect and store information that is generated automatically as you use the Website and the App, such as information about your device's connection to the Internet. From the App: Your mobile device ID; the device name and model; the operating system type, name, and version; language information; activities within the App and the length of time that you are logged into the App. If you log into the App using Facebook, we will ask that you grant us permission to access and collect your Facebook profile information (which includes your name, profile picture, gender, networks, user IDs, list of friends, date of birth, email address, and any other information that is public on your Facebook account)."

Murphy USA automatically collects device IDs, device model, OS details, and in-app activity. Through Facebook login, they can access your friends list, networks, and other profile data beyond what's needed for a gas station loyalty app.

By showing how and when visitors use the Website, cookies help us identify how many unique users visit the Website, and track user interests, trends, and patterns. Murphy USA uses cookies, web beacons, and Google Analytics to track users across their website and app, and leverages this data to target advertising on third-party websites.

"Business Transfers. If we are acquired by or merged with another company, if substantially all of our assets are transferred to another company, or if the company's assets are reorganized or liquidated as part of a bankruptcy or insolvency proceeding, we may transfer the information that we have collected from you to the other company. Please note, however, that we will delete an account after 12 months of inactivity, at our sole discretion."

There is no clear data retention or deletion timeline. Account deletion after 12 months of inactivity is discretionary, and all collected data can be transferred to acquiring companies without user consent.
