"We use your location data (e.g., by using the GPS on your mobile device) to enable the intended functionality of PURE. This will be enabled only if you explicitly give us permission to access your location. Please keep in mind that when you use PURE, other users can view your location data and they may use it for purposes you did not intend, or disclose it to individuals or entities outside of our control and without our and your knowledge."

The app uses GPS to track user location and shares it with other users, who may further disclose it to third parties outside Pure's control. The app also collects image metadata containing approximate location data for moderation purposes.

"In order to add this kind of content, you first have to give us permission to access your photo album/gallery and/or your camera. Information about the images (e.g. metadata), such as the location of a photo and device information. If users choose to share images on PURE and use them in their ads, they also consent to the sharing of metadata related to those images."

Pure accesses the device camera, photo gallery, and extracts image metadata including location and device information, which goes beyond what's strictly needed for a dating app's core functionality.

"We use Session Replay technology provided by our analytics partner to better understand how users interact with PURE and to improve product performance, usability, and error detection. This tool does not record videos, live footage, or screen captures of your activity. Instead, it rebuilds a simplified version of your in-app experience based on collected technical and interaction data, such as navigation patterns, clicks, taps, and error reports."

Pure uses session replay technology to reconstruct user interactions within the app, and social network login links user identity across platforms (Facebook, Google, Apple, Huawei), enabling cross-service profiling.
