Fetch: America’s Rewards App

"When you use the Fetch App and/or otherwise participate in the Fetch Rewards program, you consent to Fetch disclosing information you have shared with Fetch through the App, including personal information, to all Fetch partners who promote or advertise Offers or other Fetch Point earning opportunities via the App and/or other Fetch Services ('brand partners'), and agree that such brand partners may engage with you, including by sending you emails, and otherwise use your personal information in accordance with their privacy policies."

By simply using the app, users consent to sharing their personal information with all of Fetch's brand partners, who can then use it under their own privacy policies with no further control by the user.

"When you consent to geolocation tracking on the App we will disclose your geolocation information to third parties. The physical location is used to provide you with a variety of services such as personalized content and/or advertising... Separate from precise geo-location options, our App when the app is being utilized approximates your device location solely for fraud detection purposes."

Fetch collects precise geolocation and shares it with third parties for advertising, and also approximates device location for fraud detection even without explicit geolocation consent.

"For Digital Receipt Program ('eReceipts') participants: We may collect consumer account or email log-in credentials and any personal information contained on digital receipts... Fetch may scan for any data believed to be a receipt in those email accounts or the linked consumer account. For Fetch Shop Extension Users: Fetch will collect the following information about the user: browsing history; Fetch user ID; and transaction details."

Fetch collects email login credentials, scans email contents for receipt data, and through its browser extension collects full browsing history — access that goes well beyond basic app functionality.

"The period of time for which we retain information depends on the purposes for which we collect or use that information. We will delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed to fulfill the purposes listed for each category above, unless a longer retention period is required to comply with applicable laws. There may be technical or other operational reasons where we are unable to fully delete or de-identify your information."

Fetch provides no specific retention periods or deletion timelines, using vague language about purpose-based retention and citing technical reasons why full deletion may not be possible.

"We reserve the right to amend this privacy notice at our discretion and at any time. When we make changes to this privacy notice, we will post the updated notice on the Website and update the notice's effective date. Your continued use of our Website following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes."

Fetch can modify the privacy policy at any time at its sole discretion, with no requirement for direct notification to users, and continued use is treated as acceptance of the new terms.

"There may be scenarios where we deny your deletion request. If that occurs, we will provide you with an explanation as to why we could not delete all or some of your personal information... There may be technical or other operational reasons where we are unable to fully delete or de-identify your information. Where this is the case, we will take reasonable measures to prevent further processing your information."
