"We disclose and share information with advertising providers, ad-networks, analytics providers, and other third parties. We use several modern marketing tools in support of our advertising efforts. Arlo may work with first-party and third-party advertisers, ad-networks, and analytics providers that use SDKs, cookies, and similar tracking technologies to provide more relevant advertising on our apps, on our website, and across the internet."

Arlo shares user data broadly with advertising networks, analytics providers, and other third parties via SDKs and tracking technologies embedded in their apps and website.

"Of the categories of information listed above, we may share the following categories for cross-contextual behavioral advertising: account information, device information, usage information, location information, billing information, and information if you link third party accounts or services."

Arlo explicitly shares six broad categories of personal data for cross-contextual behavioral advertising, enabling tracking of users across apps, websites, and the internet.

"We collect location information. For example, we may collect your zip code and state. Based on your IP address, we may also derive location information. We may collect approximate or precise location information depending on the settings you enable on your mobile device for features such as geofencing and for the Arlo Safe app."

Arlo collects both approximate and precise location data, including for geofencing and the Arlo Safe app, and shares location information with third parties for cross-contextual behavioral advertising.

"We collect device information. We collect information from and about your device. This includes your device identifiers such as advertising IDs. We may also collect information about your operating system, hardware model or battery life. We may also collect information about your Wi-Fi connections or mobile carrier."

Arlo collects extensive device data including advertising IDs, Wi-Fi connections, mobile carrier info, and hardware details, much of which goes beyond core security camera functionality.

"We keep information as long as your account is active. We also retain information for the period necessary or relevant for the practices described in this Notice, and as otherwise required or permitted by law. When you choose to delete your data, Arlo will retain information as it believes it needs to comply with the law."

Arlo provides no clear deletion timeline and explicitly states it retains data even after users choose to delete it, based on its own determination of legal necessity.

"From time to time, we may change our Notice. We will notify you of any material changes to our Notice as required by law. We will also post an updated copy on the places where this Notice currently appears. Please check periodically for updates."

Arlo can change its privacy notice at any time, with notification only as minimally required by law and no mechanism for user consent to new terms.

"When you choose to delete your data, Arlo will retain information as it believes it needs to comply with the law. You may be limited to submit certain requests within a 12-month period. We will use the information you submit to verify your request."

Even when users request deletion, Arlo retains data based on its own judgment of legal necessity, and limits how often deletion requests can be submitted.
